Subhankar Bhaskar
Subhankar Bhaskar, (born on 20th October, 1975) started his musical career at the tender age of seven. He has taken his musical training under the inspiration and supervision of some musical legends like, Sri Nihar Ranjan Bandyopadhyay, Sri Adhir Bagchi, Smt. Utpala Goswami, Sri Debojyoti Ghosh, Sri Soumen Sarkar and his father, Sri Netai Bhaskar.
At the age of seven he was associated with Radio programme like Sishu Mahal, Galpa Dadur Ashor, Kishalaya, Barsho Purti of Akash Bani Kolkata. Subhankar has achieved Gold Medal in the year 1988 from A.B.T.A., Music Competition. He stood 1st Class 1st in Pre-degree, Rabindra Bharati Viswa Vidyalaya in 1993. He has been also rewarded Gold Medal along with Scholarship for Post-Degree three years and finished his M.A. in Music from Rabindra Bharati Viswa Vidyalaya. He got the first position in different categories of music like, Dwijendra Geeti, Najrul Geeti, Adhunik, Kirtan & Khayal in West Bengal, Rajjya Sangeet Academy in 1994, 1995 & 1996 respectively. SA THEKE SA (E-TV Bangla, 1999). He also got the Best Male Singer award in the Musical Competition Programme called Sa-Re-Ga-Ma co-ordinated by Zee Alpha Bangla.
